We Can Research For You
Research is by appointment only. We request two weeks advance notice so a research volunteer can be scheduled to assist you if needed. Research days are Thursdays and Fridays. If you let us know what you'll be researching, we can have materials ready when you arrive so as to save you valuable time. For those unable to come in person, we will do research for you at $30.00 per hour plus copy costs. You can make a research appointment by calling 304.267.4713 or by email at bchs@bchs.org two weeks in advance of your desired research time.
There is no entry fee to researchers, but we ask first-time researchers to complete a research form that sets forth citation requirements. Appointments are required with two weeks' advance notice. We request a donation from researchers so we can keep our doors open.
Additionally, we request that no bags or food be brought into the research rooms. Lockers are provided for these items; researchers are asked to bring their own padlocks.
